Service Writer/Customer Service Representative

Job Duties:
The Service Writer/Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing a key link between the technical team and our customers. Primary responsibilities include working with customers to get basic information required to create an accurate work order, communicating with technicians to ensure they are prepared for the work at hand, communicating throughout the process to ensure customer satisfaction, creating change orders as necessary, and taking detailed call notes.

Other clerical duties include invoice generation and manufacturer warranty claims.

This position will report to owners and work closely with the Service Administrator to raise our level of customer service.
Room to grow into sales for the right candidate. Basic knowledge of boating is preferred.

Requirements (Must Be Maintained During Employment):

  • Previous Service Writer experience
  • Provide exceptional customer service, primarily through the telephone
  • Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail
  • Maintain regular, positive, and professional relationships with technical staff to ensure most up to date information for customers
  • Ensure company success with proper documentation of communication and work completed
  • Ability to learn new software systems and procedures
  • Proficient in business technology, specifically FLUENT in Excel, Word and QuickBooks, CRM/ERP software
  • Experience with customer service and representing a company with a high-end clientele
  • Valid NJ Drivers License

Project Manager

Job Duties:
The Project Manager is responsible for providing a key link between the technical team, sales team, parts team and our customers to ensure projects are completed to the highest industry standards and customers are aware of project status and changes.

The Project Manager will oversee the project once the work order is signed, ensuring all internal processes are followed. The Project Manager will work with the foreman to maintain an accurate schedule and service queue, balancing parts availability, weather, technician availability, job complexity and customer requirements and update customers as to their place in the queue.

Once a job has been started, the Project Manager will communicate project updates, send photos, etc throughout the process to ensure customer satisfaction, creating change orders as necessary, and making sure mid-job customer requests are handled appropriately.

Other clerical duties include invoice generation and manufacturer warranty claims.

This position will report to the owner and work closely with the Service Administrator, Parts Manager and Shop Foreman.

No specific knowledge of boating required, but it is a plus!
