Available Positions

Marine Electrical Technician 

Job Duties:

  • Represent the company in a professional manner
  • Precision layout of equipment onto vessel helms, dashboards, etc
  • Install, terminate and label electrical wiring from 30ga – 4/0ga, coax and ethernet
  • Dress, label and route cables in a clean and neat fashion
  • Installation of hardware and components above and below the waterline including: transducers, lights, displays, controls, radar domes and antennas
  • Adhere to NMEA, ABYC and USCG standards for marine electrical systems Diagnosing intermittent electrical and electronic faults
Updating system software via connected PC or local card reader
Answer customer questions during service and installation
  • Submit updates on task completion, materials list, and billable hours
  • Document work with before and after photographs and produce thorough paperwork at completion of each project
  • Other tasks as required

Requirements (Must Be Maintained During Employment):

  • Supply own hand tools including: screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, wire termination tools, in a non-marking tool bag
  • Supply own cordless drill and other battery operated/portable tools
  • Work in a detail-orientated and organized fashion 
  • Keep job sites, shop and vehicles clean, neat and safe
  • Keep a valid NJ Drivers License with clean driving record
  • Work on ladders, lifting 70+ lbs 
  • Work outside in extreme cold and hot temperatures

Training and Continuing Education

As marine electronics is an ever-evolving field, we expect our staff to stay current with new products, their features, use and troubleshooting. We will provide opportunities for training and education as they become available, but the expectation is that all employees will have a working knowledge of current practice at all times.
